Open Questions
1. Why are you filling out this questionnaire?
To maybe find a community of like minded people I can hang out with and build my village, as the expression goes.
2. How many "close friends" (by close friends I mean people that you see more than twice a month if they live in the tri-state area or if they are a long-distance friend that you speak with at least twice a month) do you have?
2.
3. It's Saturday morning! What time are you up and what do you want to do with the day?
10 AM-11 AM; nap and lounge around, maybe some cleaning and catching up on TV and movies, as well as lazily composing some.
4. Do you like to go to any kind of cultural experiences? What kind and how often?
I try to visit a lot of museums when I can, I think it’s such an essential practice for an artist. Now that I’m 21, I wanna check out more jazz clubs around the city to see some inspiring musicians adjacent to my classical field. I like going to the NY Phil and The Met Opera, and I’m trying to join their student orgs.
5. How do you feel about Amy Winehouse?
I love her! Her vocal timbre is to die for and just her blunt wisdom wrapped in witty lyrics is just soo intoxicatingly good.
6. "Uh oh! I'm experiencing a negative emotion"; what happens inside you? How do you deal with it?
I tend to shut down at first, but then I try my tricks I learn in therapy to get me out of that state but some days are definitely harder than others.
7. How do you feel about school and teachers?
I love school and all my professors, especially now in conservatory, but school can get overwhelming because I sometimes overcommit or feel imposter syndrome and the workload can become overwhelming if I’m not on top of things constantly.
8. What is the most meaningful way to spend time?
With people you love doing what you love.
9. What is your favorite law (if you do not have a favorite, what is one that you think of positively)?
Marriage equality (even though technically it’s not codified).
10. What app on your phone (other than essentials) is your most used app?
Right now Canvas, but TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube are pretty much in a three-way tie 😅.
11. What are you hoping to get from filling this out?
To gain a broader community in the city I want to call home for awhile.
