Open Questions
1. Why are you filling out this questionnaire?
this one sat blank a while with the cursor blinking. I think because the best friends I've made here have been unplanned and serendipitous, and so seeing the podcast flyer while on a walk dogsitting felt.. that.
2. How many "close friends" (by close friends I mean people that you see more than twice a month if they live in the tri-state area or if they are a long-distance friend that you speak with at least twice a month) do you have?
Three (two locally, one afar)
3. It's Saturday morning! What time are you up and what do you want to do with the day?
5am to either run or hit the gym before work.
Sunday is my Saturday and it's meant for rest plus arts and crafts. Photography, a movie in the city, reading, that type of thing.
4. Do you like to go to any kind of cultural experiences? What kind and how often?
Nope.
5. How do you feel about Amy Winehouse?
Absolute tragedy what was done against her by people she seemed to trust. Don't really know the music too well? Pretty voice, though. Emotionally charged.
6. "Uh oh! I'm experiencing a negative emotion"; what happens inside you? How do you deal with it?
I'm sober, so I have to sit in that shit. Understand it. What came before, what kicked it off. If I'm lucky, how to remedy it.
7. How do you feel about school and teachers?
I wish I had taken it more seriously.. my life trajectory would have been wildly difficult.
8. What is the most meaningful way to spend time?
Support someone.
9. What is your favorite law (if you do not have a favorite, what is one that you think of positively)?
You can't get a passport if you're more than $2,500 behind on your child support. And yes, that's my current situation, I'm trapped inside the US!
10. What app on your phone (other than essentials) is your most used app?
Chess, and I am absolute dogshit at it.
11. What are you hoping to get from filling this out?
Living life on life's terms has #blessed me with the acceptance that nothing is owed to anyone and this experience alone would be chill enough. Zero expectations but whatever else comes of it would be interesting!

Essay Question
Please describe a friend breakup you have gone through. If you haven't gone through a friend breakup, please explain why you think you have never gone through a friend breakup. Outline a major friendship in your life and explain why it is successful.
I haven't had a friend breakup in years, but historically they would all come from taking advantage of someone one way or another. I saw them as fully transactional and eventually people would just get tired of my shit -- flaking, breaking promises, things like that.
My sister and I are each other's best friends. We have space for each other in our hearts that nobody else ever could. No judgment, no dullness, we speak weekly by phone and by text every day. I'm trying to wean her off of memes. She's resistant to this. We have been through a lot together, and didn't always see eye to eye, but when we worked through our disagreements it brought us closer than ever and it has only strengthened over time since then. Would love to find that in another humon or two.
